5 Common hair mistakes when using a straightener

Using the highest heat

You don’t need the highest temperature for the straighteners to work properly, using them a few degrees below the highest temperature will save your hair dramatically whilst still giving you a professional finish.

Ironing damp hair

If you hear a sizzling sound or see steam, STOP! This is the ultimate hair damage causing brittleness and split ends. Make sure your hair is completely dry before straightening. (Or curling!) Unless you are using a heat protector spray then this noise/ steam is it just evaporating.
