Ultra smooth, zero drag titanium plates will help you achieve a sleek, professional finish. High-quality titanium produces substantially more beneficial negative ions than other types of ionic plates. More negative ions results in more shine and manageability, longer lasting styles and less damage and frizz.

The advanced floating plate system and 360-degree rotating cord make it easy to handle, adjustable heat settings give you full control and the lightweight finish is ideal for travel. The straightening iron comes with a travel pouch and branded gift box.

You also get a one year warranty with proof of purchase.

Luke Hersheson says: “Our zero drag plate produce negative ions to prevent damage or frizz and increase shine and manageability.”

Heat

The digital temperature adjustment means that the straightener heats up in a matter of seconds and can be adjusted to suit your needs. You can even use this on Hershesons’ extensions, just make sure you don’t heat them up any higher than 180°.

5 Common hair mistakes when using a straightener

Using the highest heat

You don’t need the highest temperature for the straighteners to work properly, using them a few degrees below the highest temperature will save your hair dramatically whilst still giving you a professional finish.

Ironing damp hair

If you hear a sizzling sound or see steam, STOP! This is the ultimate hair damage causing brittleness and split ends. Make sure your hair is completely dry before straightening. (Or curling!) Unless you are using a heat protector spray then this noise/ steam is it just evaporating.

Thinking bigger is better

Larger irons make it harder to get to the hairline, try to choose straighteners that have ceramic or tourmaline plates that are about an inch wide to make sure you can get to the hairline.

Not using heat defence

Heat protection is a must, your hair is just as important as your skin! Creating a layer of protection means that the heat damage is reduced massively and can even make your hair react better to the heat.

Going over curls again and again

Make sure you get the hair as straight as possible before using the irons by stretching out the hair with a brush. Once using the iron go slow and steadily rather than having to keep on repeating the action as this will cause less damage.
